Breast Cancer- Early Detection is Key

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let’s make sure we take of the “girls”.

Early detection- Regular breast self-exams can help find breast cancer early, when it's more likely to be treated successfully.

  • Symptoms of breast cancer include lumps, pain, swelling, nipple discharge, thickening of the skin, or a sudden change in the size or shape of the breast. However, some people have no symptoms at all.

  • Mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early.

  • Wear It Pink is an event on October 18th, where people and organizations wear pink and participate in activities to support breast cancer awareness.

  • Support breast cancer awareness by starting a fundraiser, joining a race or walk, or learning the signs and symptoms of breast cancer
