Self-Care—What Does That Mean

Self-care is quite the “buzzword” these days, but what is it?  It’s anything you do to take care of your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Self-care doesn’t have to be elaborate or complicated.  You don’t have to spend hours at the gym, make a spa appointment, or learn how to meditate.  Keep it simple to start. Think about what’s important to you, and what areas you want to place your self-care focus.

It can be as simple as taking a 10-minute break from all your screens, a delightful cup of tea, or a short walk in the sunshine.  Whatever you choose, commit to being completely present and in the moment, and see what you can learn about yourself.
