Know Your Why, Part 1

IIn 2009, Simon Sinek wrote the book, Start With Why, a conceptual leadership book, claiming the best way to influence human behavior is through inspiration. In 2017, he followed up with Know Your Why: A Practical Guide for Discovering Purpose for You and Your Team. It’s designed to help individuals find their WHY and bring it to life in both their careers and organizations.

Whether it’s your fitness goal or your life, knowing your purpose, YOUR WHY is the force that will keep you going when times get tough and keeps you accountable when things are on track. Your “why” is your own, however, there are common threads. Love, success, security, health, meaningful relationships, and/or a rewarding career; are just a few things we might hear ourselves or others say as they discover their why.

Your why helps you align your purpose and create a more meaningful life. It makes it easier to say yes or no, you simply decide whether it’s based on your why, instead of just goals and outcomes.  The goal or outcome is important; however, the reason lies in how it will serve your greater purpose.

So how do you find your why?  Check out Know Your Why Part 2
